Buying

How much is the pass?
£50 per person for one day.
Can I buy for a group?
Yes. Up to 10 passes in one booking, with a name on each. They all open in the app with the email you booked with, so one phone can carry the group, or each person can sign in on their own phone with the same email. For more than 10, see groups.
Do I need to choose a date when I buy?
No. Your pass isn't tied to a date. Your day starts at your first check-in.
Can I cancel?
Yes, if you haven't used the pass. See our terms of sale for the details.

Using the pass

When does my day start and end?
At your first check-in. From then the pass works at every included place until midnight that day.
How do I show my pass?
Open the City Pass app. At most places staff scan the code on your pass or swipe it in the app. It takes a couple of seconds.
Do I need to book anything?
Most places you simply turn up. A few need a timed booking on their own website, such as the Fitzwilliam's exhibitions and Cambridge United matches. The app gives you a code that makes those bookings free.
Can I visit a place twice?
Each place is included once per pass.
Why does the app ask for my location?
To confirm you're at the venue when you check in, and to tell you about little-known stories (we call them Easter eggs) as you walk past them. It's only used while you're using the app.

The app

Do I need to download an app?
Yes: your booking email has the link. Sign in with the email you booked with, type the code we email you, and your passes appear.
I've lost my booking email.
Open the app and sign in with the email you booked with: we'll email you a fresh code. Still stuck? Email hello@cambridgecitypass.com.
Does it work offline?
You'll need a data connection to sign in and check in. Cambridge's centre has good mobile coverage.
